Accounts closed in “good standing,” that is accounts that were fully paid off, can remain on your report for up to 10 years before they are removed. Accounts that were not fully paid off when closed can remain on your credit report for 7 years. Mines were paid off years ago and I paid LexingtonLaw to remove them back in 2013..I had a credit score of 690 dec 2018 with no missed payments, no collections, no nothing. Lastweeek my credit score was 490…. all those items have been dumped back on my report effective feb2019.
