Plutocracy vs aristocracy

I'm not sure what America's form of government is anymore but, it is definitely not a democracy. A Democracy provides every legal citizen of a certain age with the free and equal right to participate in a system of government that elects representatives of the people by the majority of the people, who promise to do the will of the people. Populism is clearly opposed to aristocracy, plutocracy, and elitism. While left-wing populists generally oppose the power of the wealthy, big business, capitalism, and religious authority, right-wing populists also claim to represent “the common man” in their opposition to what they see as a left-wing intellectual elite. Plutocracy: rule of those with wealth. Tyranny: rule of a criminal cabal; Commonwealth: a government in which politcal and economic principles and practices accrue to the benefit of all members of society. This form of government is ruled by some type of aristocracy, those with some kind of special knowledge and skill.
